The results are in, and South Africa have WON their case! Or did they? Let’s look at the facts.

South Africa have sued Israel for their actions and genocide against Palestine. Perhaps the only country with balls to sue a country with so much power, it really went all in to prove its points. They fought hard i'd say. What Israel had to say was, in short: “hOw dArE YoU AcCuSe uS Of gEnOcIdE???? We’rE OnLy dOiNg tHiS CuZ Of kHaMaS, iTs aLl kKhHaMaSsS!!1!1

Well yesterday, January 26th was an important day for this case. The judge was to decide the case validity, and the temporary actions to take while further detail goes on.

The world of palestine supporters watched eagerly, and found the results very mixed. Some were proud, thinking that justice was served, or the other half who found the ICJ as cowards. Why? No ceasefire was given. But wait.. Not all hope is lost.

Here’s what was decided by the votes:

  • By 15 votes to 2, the State of Israel shall, in accordance with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in relation to the Palestinians in Gaza, take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of all acts within the scope of the Article 2 of the Convention, in particular, A) killing members of the group, B) causing serious bodily or mental harm to the members of the group, C) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part, and D) imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group.

  • By 15 votes to 2, the State of Israel shall ensure, with immediate effect, that its military does not commit any acts described in point 1 above.

  • By 16 votes to 1, the State of Israel shall take all measures within its power to prevent and punish the direct and public incitement to commit genocide in relation to members of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip.

  • By 16 votes to 1, the State of Israel shall take immediate and effective measures to ensure the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address the adverse conditions of life faced by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

  • By 15 votes to 2, the State of Israel shall take effective measures to prevent the destruction and ensure the preservation of evidence related to allegations of acts within the scope of Article 2 and Article 3 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide against members of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip.

  • By 15 votes to 2, the State of Israel shall submit a report to the court on all measures taken to give effect to this order within one month as from the date of the order.

So there was no call for a ceasefire, but they basically requested an indirect ceasefire. Now how shall this be enforced? With a report it seems. Let’s see the other side of supporters now(the pro israelis)

Some are glad that they weren’t accused of genocide (judge dodged a bullet) and some are pissed at the fact that Israel are getting this “harsh” punishment. Yet again they bring up “but what about KKKKHHHHAMASSSSSSSSSS???”

Even the Indian Prime Minister of the UK straight up said:

“Anyone - or any organisation - that cannot unequivocally condemn the evil that Hamas did that day has no conscience, no morality, no decency and deserves no respect.

"I also reject any attempt to draw an equivalence between Israel's actions and those of the terrorists who videotape their appalling crimes, who rape and murder with gratuitous zealotry.

"That is why this government has condemned the completely unjustified case that South Africa has brought to the International Court of Justice.

"There is a horrific irony in Israel, of all countries, being accused of genocide."

Blud really went on a yapping session on KKKHAMASSS when that's not the point of this case. And what do you mean there’s an irony in israel being accused of genocide?? Only real peaceful country in this world nowadays is probably Nauru or some other tiny island country.

For the result, we’ll let you guys decide what you think about this, personally I think it's a step in the right direction. A bit underwhelming, but at least they didn’t go in favour of ISRAEL.
