Over in Queensland, Australia, the weather has literally gone mad. 5cm Hail, intense lightning, flash floods, the whole lot. When did this even happen? How?

The Bureau of Meteorology(BoM) has warned several waves of thunderstorms will commence on Saturday, along with hail and lightning and heavy rain adding to the pain. The Results? Take a read:

A vehicle was struck by lightning on Bruce Hwy, A man in an excavator was struck, flights in Brisbane Airport are being delayed left and right, radio stations going down, traffic has frozen even on highways, flash floods were recorded, 110mm rain, 93km of wind, and to top it all off, 6 people have died.

That won’t be the end though, after all that, a heat wave will go on. So what is the Queensland government doing about this? They’re offering money. From $180 to $900 for people to get their essentials back. Homeowners can apply for a $50K assistance grant ($50,000 of cash to repair their broken homes).
